Marcela Carena

The American Association for the Advancement of Science has elected Fermilab and University of Chicago scientist Marcela Carena as a 2017 AAAS fellow.

Carena was one of 396 AAAS members nominated this year as fellows by their peers. She was recognized for distinguished contributions to high-energy particle field theory, especially detection of Higgs fields, supersymmetry, electroweak baryogenesis, dark matter, and extra dimensions.

In addition, Fermilab users Todd Adams of Florida State University and Chang Kee Jung of Stony Brook University were named AAAS fellows.

Fermilab congratulates them.
