Women’s Self Defense Class

Move through your daily routine with more self-confidence. This class covers the basic self-defense skills of escaping from holds and chokes, striking and kicking, along with group safety discussions. The dynamics of sexual assault will also be discussed. Class is taught by Maureen Browne of the Martial Arts Training Service. Maureen is an 8th degree black belt in Danzanryu Jujitsu and a 6th degree black belt in Aikido. She has been teaching Self-defense and Rape Prevention classes since 1980 and holds a Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology. This 2 hour class is held on Sunday, April 29th from 1:00 – 3:00pm in the Fitness Center Group Exercise Room. Fee is $49.
