Fermilab Barn Dance

  • It is next occurring on May 13, 2018, 6:30 pm
  • Kuhn Barn

The Fermilab Folk Club sponsors regular monthly barn dances to promote and preserve traditional American social dance forms, including square and contra dancing. There is always a live band. The “caller” for the day teaches each dance, then continues step-by-step instructions while the band plays and we dance.

Everyone is welcome: Staff, users, and the public. Come with a partner, with friends, with your family, or by yourself. We have many levels of experience at each dance, including first time dancers, and we all help each other. No special clothing is expected, just comfortable shoes.

Adult admission is $7 each. Ages 12-18 and over 65 are $4. Children under 12 are free.

We dance 6:30-9:30 PM on the second Sunday of every month September-June.
We also dance 2:00-5:00 PM on the third Sunday of every month November-April.
