Do you love architecture or design? Are you curious about the PIP-II project? Want to see the future of Fermilab?

Set aside your lunch hour on Thursday, Feb. 14, for a fun talk and Q&A about the new PIP-II buildings with the architecture firm Gensler.

In his vision for Fermilab, Director Robert Wilson set out to build a pioneering science laboratory whose aesthetics and built environment could match the impactfulness of its research. Next month, the lab will break ground for the PIP-II accelerator project, and the new buildings live up to the visual standards set by Wilson.

Come hear Gensler’s Randy Guillot give an architecture tour of the PIP-II facility on Thursday, Feb. 14, noon-1 p.m., in One West. Bring your lunch and your questions!

See the site’s layout, find out how the architects and engineers incorporated Wilson’s vision into the design, see how it fits into the larger site, and learn some of the ingenious engineering that went into planning the building. The presentation will be followed by a Q&A.
