Fermilab has received the Building Envelope Campaign Award for the Industrial Center Building Addition’s energy-efficient design of windows, exterior walls and roofs. Fermilab is one of 14 awardees selected by the DOE.

From Civil + Structure Engineer, March 1, 2021: Fermilab’s new Integrated Engineering Research Center is a 85,000-square-foot, two-story structure that will be a combination of laboratories, offices, and collaborative spaces to support ongoing particle physics research, including the Deep Underground Neutrino Experiment.
From Building, Design and Construction, Sept. 14, 2020: This fall, construction is scheduled to begin on the Integrated Engineering Research Center, an 85,000-square-foot infrastructure project at Fermilab. Lots of natural light and hybrid labs will distinguish the new center.
From Suburban Chronicle, Nov. 16, 2018: Funding has been finalized, design work is under way and construction is now set to start next summer. Construction is likely be completed by the end of 2021.
The new building will provide lab space and serve as a hub for collaboration for international teams of scientists, engineers, and technicians working on several key programs at Fermilab.
