Barn Dance Oct. 14

The Fermilab Folk Club presents a Barn Dance on Sunday, Oct. 14 at 6:30 p.m. in the Kuhn Village Barn with music by Nicola McConkey & Allison Miller.  Devin Pohly calls.  Everyone is welcome.  You don’t need to know anything, just come and have fun!  Admission is $7, children under 12 are free, 12 to 18 year olds and people over 65 are $4.  More info and directions at http://www.fnal.gov/orgs/folkclub/

The fourth annual Fermilab vs. Argonne soccer game will take place on Saturday, September 29th at 2 p.m., in the Fermilab Village. The Fermibisons won last year 7-4 in a highly contested match. After the game, there will be a friendly BBQ shared with everyone at the Kuhn Barn, courtesy of the Fermilab Student and Postdoc Association (FSPA). Come and cheer for the Fermibisons. The next session of Aikido Martial Arts will be held on Tuesdays, September 18 – November 6 (8 wks.) at the Fitness Center Group Exercise Rom from 11:45am-12:30pm. Fee is $97. Please register by September 11 in the Wellness Office, WH15W. http://hr.fnal.gov/work-life/fitness-classes/  

This 30-minute class focuses on sculpting the abs, hips, glutes, and legs. Participants will learn a variety of exercises designed to increase overall core strength, improve definition and strengthen the lower back area. This abs class may incorporate the use of bands, tubing, rings, dumbbells, stability balls, BOSU balls and your own body weight.
