Volunteer scouts contribute to Fermilab’s natural areas, part 3

See part 1 and part 2. Fermilab ecologist Ryan Campbell worked with Eagle Scout Matthew Bailey to design the boxes, which will be used to grow more than a dozen different species of native shrubs that will eventually go into Fermilab wetlands, woodlands and prairies. Fermilab staff and Fermilab Natural Areas volunteers collect seed locally and will sow it yearly into the boxes and plant it into natural areas. Photo: Mike Bailey
