Editor’s note, Oct. 30, 2020: The announcement below is about a scholarship application period that has expired.
The deadline for applying for the University of Chicago – Fermilab Scholarship is Jan. 3. Beginning this application cycle, the University of Chicago will offer one full-tuition scholarship each year to the child of a regular, full-time employee of Fermilab.
To ensure that every eligible scholarship applicant is accounted for, the applicant (or the applicant’s parent or legal guardian) must complete a Fermilab employee verification form. Students who do not complete this form will not be considered for the scholarship.
The University of Chicago receives thousands of applications to its undergraduate programs. Employee verification allows University of Chicago admissions officers to identify which among its many applicants are the children of regular, full-time Fermilab employees and thus eligible for the scholarship.
If you have questions about the scholarship or would like additional information about admission to the University of Chicago, please contact Associate Director of Admissions Callie Brown at email@example.com or 773-702-5795. See also this article in Fermilab Today on the scholarship.
