trisepTRISEP 2016 Summer School in Subatomic Particle Physics

Dear colleagues,

We draw your attention to TRISEP 2016, a summer school for graduate students in subatomic particle physics. The school has been held annually since 2013 and is organized in collaboration between the Perimeter Institute, SNOLab and TRIUMF. This year the school will take place at TRIUMF, in Vancouver, Canada, from June 20 – July 1. More details about the school and a link to registration can be found at the website:

We have a very exciting program scheduled for graduate students of all levels in both experiment and theory who are familiar with the basics of quantum field theory. The topics to be covered include:

Standard Model and beyond
Neutrino physics
Higgs physics
Dark matter
Techniques for particle colliders
Particle detection methods

These topics will be presented by world experts in the respective fields, including:

Nathaniel Craig (UC Santa Barbara)
Glen Cowan (Royal Holloway)
Gilles Gerbier (Queen’s)
Stefania Gori (U Cincinnati)
Heather Gray (CERN)
Boris Kayser (Fermilab)
Frank Krauss (IPP Durham)
Michael Ramsey-Musolf (U Mass Amherst)
Fabrice Retiere (TRIUMF)
Hirohisa Tanaka (U Toronto)
Brigitte Vachon (McGill)
Manuella Vincter (Carleton)

We thank you in advance for sharing this information with the graduate students in your group or department. A poster for the school is attached. Please also let us know if you would like a printed paper copy of the poster, or if you have any questions about the school.
