New wireless internet access service, eduroam, now available

Eduroam, a secure wireless internet access service, is now available at Fermilab.

Eduroam allows students, researchers and staff from participating institutions to easily obtain internet connectivity across campus and when visiting other participating institutions. Fermilab users with Services accounts can use the eduroam network when visiting other participating institutions once their mobile device is configured to work with eduroam.

For configuration instructions and the list of participating institutions, see this Knowledge Base article: https://fermi.service-now.com/kb_view_customer.do?sysparm_article=KB0011245.

Fermilab users with Services accounts should continue to use the “fgz” network when located at Fermilab. Visitors to Fermilab from institutions that have eduroam accounts can now select the eduroam wireless network (SSID: eduroam) and enter their institution’s login credentials to access the Fermilab wireless network.
