LPC completes its 2017 machine learning training program

The LHC Physics Center (LPC) at Fermilab, which serves hundreds of CMS physicists from U.S. institutions and other countries worldwide, held during the last two months a special series of five Hands-on Advanced Tutorial Sessions (HATS) featuring Python and Machine Learning as sophisticated tools for CMS data analysis. Several LPC experts have volunteered to prepare and run the tutorials, providing a great opportunity for CMS members to learn all they need in order to get involved or boost their productivity in Run2 data analysis. These HATS were very popular and hence well attended.

Following this series of tutorials, the LPC will soon start its 2017 summer HATS program that will last until the end of July. It will consist of 16 HATS on hardware, software, triggers, analysis tools etc. The full list of 2017 HATS @LPC is available online.
