Ten thousand people descended on Fermilab on Sept. 23 for our 50th anniversary Community Open House. They saw detector components, accelerator technologies, neutrino experiments, muon experiments. They met our friends at CERN, at the Dark Energy Camera, at the Sanford Underground Research Facility. They visited our Chicagoland STEM partners, did some hands-on science and witnessed the Mr. Freeze cryogenic show.
