APS Division of Physics of Beams newsletter available online

The APS Division of Physics of Beams is pleased to present its annual newsletter, available for download here: https://www.aps.org/units/dpb/newsletters/upload/fall17.pdf. Get updated on the latest in the field, including up and coming projects, conferences and potential collaborators! With feature articles on art history using synchrotron radiation, the history of Fermilab, machine learning for accelerators, and the latest on the European XFEL, MAX IV, and SESAME, there is something for everyone in the accelerator physics and user community.

In addition to producing the community newsletter, find out more about what the APS DPB does for accelerator physicists, engineers and users at https://www.aps.org/units/dpb/. This includes advocating for the accelerator field and facilitating many important opportunities for the community, including IPAC, NAPAC and the PRAB journal. Please consider supporting the DPB by becoming a member, allowing us to maintain our division status in the APS and continue serving the community most effectively (not to mention being the first to receive our newsletter, delivered straight to your inbox!).

Finally, if you have any suggestions for improvements or ideas for future articles, don’t hesitate to get in touch with Alysson Vrielink at vrielink@stanford.edu.
