At Fermilab, it can be easy to be too busy to stay abreast of the rest of the lab’s activities and to connect with colleagues across the enterprise. To address this challenge, the Employee Advisory Group has launched a pilot to test three different methods of showcasing and sharing the work we do at Fermilab through learning opportunities for employees and users. Two of the pilot methods, tours of Fermilab and a Fermilab FAQ event, were recently held and earned very positive feedback from participants.
The third pilot, scheduled for Wed., May 2 from 1-2:30 p.m, is a coffee-and-cookie open house hosted by the Radiation Safety Department in the Linac loft (see map below for recommended building entrance). Enjoy a cup of coffee, learn about the role of radiation safety and take a brief Linac tour. Everyone who attends will be invited to take a survey and be entered into a random drawing for a $50 gift certificate to The Frontier Pub or a Batavia-Opoly board game.
