Self-Service Property (SSP) web application now available

WHAT ARE WE DOING?

The Property Office, together with the Core Computing Division, has created a self-service property (SSP) web application to serve the Fermilab community. The application includes a listing of each custodian’s property as well as the ability to transfer assets, update locations and update asset users.

WHEN WILL THIS OCCUR?

The SSP web application is available for labwide use on April 30.

WHAT IS THE IMPACT TO YOU?

You can access the SSP web application at fermiproperty.fnal.gov and discontinue use of the current Property Transfer Authorization paper form. You can use the SSP web application to initiate custodian transfers, location and user changes electronically. Also, an updated property search function now replaces the current property web query.

For supervisors: pending transfer requests are visible for direct reports only. You are requested to act upon and assist SSP administrators to provide “approval” or “deny” capability for pending asset transfers in the event of employee absences.

SSP administrators have the ability to view pending asset transfers within an assigned division. These individuals will act as a liaison for the division for pending asset transfers in the event of employee absences.

WHAT DO YOU NEED TO DO?

Access the SSP web application, a quick reference guide, frequently asked questions and a list of SSP administrators on the SSP website at fermiproperty.fnal.gov.
