PechaKucha night in Batavia: November 29

PechaKucha returns to Batavia on November 29 with the theme “Over the River”. Fermilab Lederman Fellow Kirsty Duffy will present (for 6 minutes 40 seconds!) about neutrinos and some of the research we are doing at the lab, in a talk titled “I have done a terrible thing: I have postulated a particle that cannot be measured”.

What is PechaKucha 20×20?

PechaKucha means “chit-chat” in Japanese. PechaKucha 20×20 is a simple presentation format where you show 20 images (slides), each for 20 seconds—a total of only 6 minutes, 40 seconds. The format keeps presentations concise and fast-paced; the images advance automatically and you talk along to the images.

PechaKucha™ 20×20 is “The art of concise presentation.” PechaKucha Night™ Batavia is an event for creative people to meet, network, and show their work.

Tickets are available from online or on the door. See the PechaKucha site for more information.
