We understand that some users have lost the ability to use Touch ID on macOS devices. We restored this functionality on the morning of Apr. 19. (For the setting to take effect, it may require you to do a full reboot of your system.)

Be aware that while the lab is creating a policy regarding the use of Touch ID or facial recognition functions on lab-owned devices, if you choose to use these features before that policy is finalized, you are consenting to having your biometric data stored locally on the Fermilab device.
