NML and MI-60 phone service conversion and downtime Thursday, Sept. 26

WHAT ARE WE DOING?
Computing will be converting the phone lines at NML and MI-60 to a new phone service.
You can see the list of impacted buildings and extensions by going to https://5e-project.fnal.gov (must be onsite or access via VPN) and clicking on the links to Phase 2A and Phase 2B buildings and extensions. The phone lines listed in Phase 2A and Phase 2B are the only ones being converted on Sept. 26.

WHEN WILL THIS OCCUR?
Thursday, Sept. 26; from 5 p.m. to approximately 11 p.m. Central Time

WHAT IS THE IMPACT TO YOU?
• Users in the impacted areas will not be able to receive or make calls from their phones for a few minutes during the maintenance window.
• After the maintenance window, the extension to access voice mail will be x6250 for users in the impacted areas. Voice mail messages will NOT be transferred.

WHAT DO YOU NEED TO DO?
• If you currently have voice mail and your phone line is being converted, you will need to set up your new voice mail PIN and greeting after the maintenance window. See https://5e-project.fnal.gov and click on “Voice mail” in the left column.
• If your phone line is being converted and it does not work after the maintenance window, please open a Service Desk ticket.  Select “Telephone Service Repair” and indicate what extension is affected.
