Prairie seed harvest

The public is invited to our Volunteer Prairie Seed Harvest at Fermilab. Every seed counts!
Saturday October 26, from 10 am to 2 pm. Picnic lunch provided. Drop in for the morning, afternoon, or all day.
All ages and abilities are welcome to spend an autumn day in the prairie!
Fermilab Natural Areas volunteers will lead small groups into the prairie to collect seed. Leaders will identify plants and seeds, no experience required.
Wear sturdy shoes, and dress for the weather. Bring gloves, pruners, and paper bag if you have them. FNA can supply some equipment.
Large groups, please email ahead during the work week to galvez@fnal.gov .
In case of bad weather, call the Fermilab switchboard 630-840-3000, or check the Fermilab Natural Areas facebook page.
