macOS Catalina v10.15 is now available for early adopters

Dear Mac users,

WHAT ARE WE DOING?
Computing has released macOS Catalina v10.15 for early adopters.

WHEN WILL THIS OCCUR?
macOS Catalina v10.15 is now available for early adopters.

WHAT IS THE IMPACT TO YOU?
• This upgrade is not mandatory.
• The upgrade process may take 30 minutes or more depending on hardware and network conditions.

WHAT DO YOU NEED TO DO?
If you wish to upgrade to macOS Catalina v10.15, please submit a Service Desk request at https://servicedesk.fnal.gov and include your computer’s property tag number in the request. Support staff will evaluate your computer to determine whether the hardware will support the upgrade and, if so, to perform the upgrade.

NOTE: If you choose to use the built-in iCloud services, such as iCloud Keychain, within macOS Catalina v10.15, be sure to follow proper security practices on both your work-related and personal devices. It is important that you use passcodes on all your iOS devices, including iPhones and iPads. If you opt to use the iCloud Keychain service, it will sync the passwords (including Fermilab credentials) between all the devices using your iCloud account. See this Apple support article for more information: https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT204085

If you have any questions, please contact the Service Desk.
