Fermilab Fitness Day is Tuesday, May 19. Each and every person at Fermilab is challenged to get out and walk 30 minutes at lunch time on Tuesday.
After you’ve taken your lunch time walk on May 19, email Jeanne at firstname.lastname@example.org confirming your participation, and provide a mailing address so she can send you a complimentary exercise stretch band to use at home.
Evidence has shown that physical activity improves overall health. It can reduce the risk of various chronic diseases, can make you feel better, function better, and sleep better. Simply put, exercise is important for a healthy body and mind. Exercise guidelines call for 150 minutes of exercise a week. Exercise for some may mean just getting out and walking 30 minutes a day.
