Resolved: Onsite phone service outage (limited impact)

UPDATE 8/3/20, 3:36 p.m. — The Telecommunications Group has completed inspecting the remaining phone lines and reviewing the open Service Desk tickets. All phones are now back in service.

UPDATE 7/27/20, 3:23 p.m. — About 126 phones are back in service. Work will continue on the remainder this week. AT&T estimates that all phones will be back in service by Monday, Aug.3.

UPDATE 7/21/20 —  The repairs are going very slowly.  The new estimate is now completion sometime early-to-mid next week.AT&T may have a few lines restored by today, but it’s more likely that restoration won’t actually start until tomorrow.

UPDATE 7/17/20 — A necessary part is on order, so AT&T is prepping and monitoring the site over the weekend and repair is expected to begin early next week.

7/14/20, 4:35 p.m. — Due to a damaged phone cable, a portion of phones onsite are currently not working.  AT&T is investigating. There is no estimated time for return to service at the moment. If you are working at the lab, in the event of an emergency use your cell phone to call 630-840-3131.
