Please submit nominations for the 2020-2022 Scientist Advisory Council members

The Fermilab Scientist Advisory Council (SAC) has 16 members who serve a 2 year term, with 1/2 the group rotating out each year.

The SAC needs diverse representation, incorporating membership from the entire scientific staff and people at all stages of their careers, so please keep this in mind when making your nominations.  Based on the affiliations of the departing members, we plan to recruit at least one member each from AD, APS-TD, ND, PPD and SCD. Individuals that are actively engaged in contributing to the laboratory culture and Snowmass 2021 are encouraged to apply.

The charge of the SAC is to engage in open discussion on topics of interest for the laboratory’s research program, and on issues relating to the careers and professional development of Fermilab’s scientific staff. The SAC meets regularly with the directorate to discuss these topics.

Nominations can be made by emailing boj@fnal.gov and kiburg@fnal.gov. Self-nominations are encouraged. Nominations must be submitted by Sept 9th 2020 to be considered.

The SAC charter is available at the following link.

Thanks,

The Fermilab Scientist Advisory Council
