Update: Zoom issues when joining meetings when using link

Zoom reports that they have resolved the issue causing users to be unable to start and join Zoom meetings and webinars. Users are now also able to sign up for paid accounts, upgrade, and manage their service on the Zoom website. Zoom is currently monitoring to ensure that these services are operational.

UPDATE: 8/24/20, 11:05 a.m.

Zoom has determined the issue and have proceeded to rollout a fix to their cloud services.  The majority of users should see their service re-established soon.

ORIGINAL MESSAGE:

There appears to be an issue with using the Zoom auto-generated email link to attend meetings. Zoom is investigating the issue. In the meantime, please use the Zoom client and enter the Meeting ID and password to join a meeting.

Either

A.

  • Open the Zoom app and sign in to Zoom.
  • On your home screen, click Join.
  • Enter the meeting ID or meeting room name
  • Enter your name and click Join.

B.

  • Join by going to the Zoom website at fnal.zoom.us/join
  • Enter the meeting ID
  • Enter the password

Meeting hosts should make sure their attendees have the Meeting ID and password, not just the meeting link.
