Resolved: Mac computer outage

There is a server certificate issue that is currently impacting Mac users both onsite and offsite. Mac users cannot use any applications that require this server certificate, including Mac Mail, Safari, Firefox, Jabber, and VPN etc. The service providers are working on the issue. We’ll provide an update as soon as the issue is resolved.

UPDATE 10/5/2020 11:49 a.m. – The issue has been resolved. Majority of the Mac users should be able to use their applications as normal now. If you have an outdated Mac and your system date is not showing today’s date, you’ll need to manually change your system date in order to resume normal usage. If you need assistance, please call the Service Desk at (630) 840-2345 and the support staff will walk you through the procedure over the phone.
