Holiday message from Office of Science Director Chris Fall

Dear friends of the Office of Science,

As the year 2020 nears its end, I would like to take just a moment to send all of you and your families the warmest of holiday wishes. The past year has tried us, both as individuals and as a scientific community, in ways none of us could ever have foreseen or even imagined.

Through it all I have been amazed by your courage, your perseverance, your dedication to the DOE mission, and by your many kindnesses to each other. Thank you for all of that, and also for the efforts you continue to make to keep yourselves and your families, your communities, and your colleagues safe and healthy.

I hope each of you takes time over the upcoming holidays to rest, reflect, and take stock of how much we’ve accomplished together during this most difficult of times. I look forward to celebrating a New Year with you as we anticipate the many joys and discoveries it will bring.

Chris Fall, Director
