I am pleased to announce Doug Nordquist will be the new Deputy Chief Finance Officer for Fermilab. Doug will be joining us April 12, 2021.
Doug served at Sandia National Laboratories in New Mexico for approximately 30 years and brings experience in most aspects of financial and business management. During his impressive career, he has provided business leadership in several roles at Sandia both at the division level as well as in the central controller organization. At the division level, he was involved in a myriad of activities including business and project management, project controls, ES&H, and property matters. In his most recent role in controller operations, Doug oversaw activities in support of the Laboratories’ financial and business operations spanning all aspects of the accounting function including indirect rates and work for others to establish sound financial policies and procedures with robust assurance mechanisms. In addition, he’s had extensive interactions with procurement, human resources, information technology and legal in addressing complex and interdependent issues facing the Laboratories. Doug also leads the FMSIC Technology Working Group which is a complex-wide group that focuses on business systems improvements.
Doug earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in Economic and Accountancy and a Master of Accountancy from New Mexico State University and is a Certified Public Accountant.
He is a demonstrated leader, and I am confident he will be an excellent addition to the finance team. Please join me in welcoming Doug to Fermilab.
