Swapan Chattopadhyay

Our distinguished colleague Swapan Chattopadhyay will be retiring from Fermilab on May 15. His productive career spanned more than 40 years, over which he made seminal contributions across many institutions around the world in the fields of particle accelerators and collider physics; synchrotron radiation sources and free-electron lasers, or FELs; ultrafast sciences; and more recently on quantum sensors.

On this occasion, his colleagues at Fermilab have organized a one-day Zoom symposium for April 30 called “Tangled Web of Quantum Sensors: Particle Accelerators, Lasers, Electromagnetic Cavities and Atomic Beams Symposium” at https://indico.fnal.gov/event/48495/. All are welcome to join.

In addition, we invite you to sign an electronic greeting card for Chattopadhyay at https://www.groupgreeting.com/sign/7f7931f123d9b2f/.
