Microsoft May patches (for pilot Windows server testers) Thursday, May 13

WHAT ARE WE DOING?
The Windows Server Services group and Computer Security have reviewed Microsoft’s May security patches. At this time, none of the patches have been declared part of the Fermilab mandatory patch set. The updates will only be installed on Windows servers that are part of the pilot testing group.

WHEN WILL THIS OCCUR?
Automatic installation and system reboots for the pilot Windows servers will occur on Thursday, May 13 if no manual intervention is taken.

WHAT IS THE IMPACT TO YOU?
If no issues are reported regarding the latest security patches on the pilot Windows servers, these updates will be advertised to all centrally managed Windows servers starting on Monday, May 17.
