In memoriam: Asa Newman

With great sadness we report Asa Newman died on May 19. He was 102. After operating the University of Chicago’s cyclotron, he worked at Fermilab as an operations specialist on the crew of the 15-foot Bubble Chamber from 1971 to 1980.

He was a member of the Tuskegee Airmen who served during World War II.
