Migration of Lab Antivirus Software to Crowdstrike Falcon Tuesday, June 8

WHAT ARE WE DOING?
The Core Computing Division is migrating all lab Windows and Mac computers using SEP Antivirus to Crowdstrike Falcon anti-malware protection software over the next month.

WHEN WILL THIS OCCUR?
Rollout begins on Tuesday, June 8 at 5 a.m. in a phased approach. This will be rolled out to various groups in phases over the course of the month.

WHAT IS THE IMPACT TO YOU?
Crowdstrike Falcon will be installed, and SEP Antivirus will be uninstalled in a phased approach.

Once the changes are pushed out to your computer and once your computer is online and connected to the Fermilab network, the installation of Crowdstrike Falcon will run silently but may require a reboot to complete. As SEP Antivirus is uninstalled, you may see notifications for the uninstall and a reboot may be needed.

These changes will occur over the course of the month.
