Professor Marcelle Soares-Santos from the University of Michigan will be the keynote speaker at this year’s 54th Users Meeting.
Marcelle’s research focuses on uncovering the nature of the accelerated expansion of the cosmos. Marcelle was previously an associate scientist and postdoctoral research associate at Fermilab. Before her current position, she was also the Landsman Career Development chair and assistant professor of physics, Brandeis University, where she continued to collaborate with Fermilab scientists on the construction of the Dark Energy Camera, which was successful in detecting the first neutron star merger ever observed:

This is a reminder to register for the meeting, which will be held August 2-6. This year’s theme is “New Horizons in Our Community” and we have prepared a diverse program of talks. The registration deadline is rapidly approaching: Monday, July 19.
The meeting will be virtual and there is no registration fee: https://indico.fnal.gov/event/49544/
There’s still time to submit an abstract for the poster session. The poster session will be virtual and will take place through a combination of Zoom/WordPress/Indico. Early career researchers are encouraged to participate.
