The Joint Task Force Initiative’s Leadership Academy for Women in Science and Engineering, or LAWISE, is launching a new pilot program to connect early career women scientists and engineers with their more experienced counterparts.

Called Coffee Collisions, the year-long program offers early career women scientists, computer professionals and engineers, as well as students and postdocs, a chance to connect informally and virtually with a senior member from Fermilab, Argonne National Laboratory or the University of Chicago.

Senior members include women who are in senior management positions, deputy division heads, project managers and department heads. Each pair of early career and experienced scientists will meet informally once a month for 15 to 30 minutes.

Those interested in participating should sign up before Aug. 15. Contact Mayling Wong-Squires or Sam Zeller for more information.
