The Universities Research Association announces an opportunity through its Visiting Scholars Program for the fall 2021 award cycle. Fall award applications are due Aug. 30: Proposals are now being accepted online.
Supported by contributions from URA member universities, the URA Visiting Scholars Award Program provides financial support for faculty and students to work at Fermilab for periods of up to one year. Proposals for the next cycle are due Monday, Aug. 30. Awards are expected to be announced at the end of September.
Individual proposals may be submitted by researchers who are faculty, postdocs or graduate students at URA member universities. Researchers are defined as graduate students, postdocs or faculty doing research in areas such as high-energy physics experiments, astrophysics, theory, accelerator physics, engineering, materials science, computer science, quantum science and technology, and accelerator R&D related to the Fermilab mission. Applicants must be employed by or, in the case of graduate students, enrolled at URA member institutions during the course of the award.
Each year, this URA program offers two rounds of awards, one in the spring and one in the fall. Mark your calendar: the application deadline for the spring 2022 cycle is Monday, Feb. 28.
