Mary “Jeannette” Olah to retire Jan. 21

After more than 41 years of service at Fermilab, Mary “Jeannette” Olah will retire on Jan. 21.

She has held roles in the Mailroom, the Stockroom, Roads and Grounds, and Facilities Management.

Olah has fond memories with the many people she met while working at Fermilab. “We worked hard, got our work done and still had time to share a laugh or two. I made many good friends in my years at the lab.”

In retirement, Olah is looking forward to getting caught up on things at home that she never seems to have time to do on the weekends. She is also looking forward to visiting her mom who will be 98 in March. She loves being outdoors, and she is looking forward to working in the yard and in her flower beds. She also loves to travel, and she would like to visit friends in other states. Her husband plans to retire next year, and together they would like to travel in an RV.

Olah says, “Fermilab has been an outstanding facility to work at and I am very thankful and proud that I had an opportunity to work here.”

We wish Jeannette much success and happiness in her retirement!
