Wheaton Drama presents ‘Silent Sky,’ a play written by Lauren Gunderson. The performance runs from March 25 to April 10.
Silent Sky is a tale of a woman’s dedication to the stars. The play centers on Henrietta Leavitt, an astronomer at Harvard University in 1900. Although she has ambitions to make discoveries of her own, Henrietta is reprimanded for using a telescope that only men can use in the Astronomy department.
