WHAT ARE WE DOING?

Computing will be performing a software update to the NAS (network attached storage) central file-server clusters.

WHEN WILL THIS OCCUR?

Wednesday, April 20; 3:30 a.m. to 5:30 a.m. Central Time

WHAT IS THE IMPACT TO YOU?

During this time, the following file servers will have two outages lasting 1-30 seconds each time:

  • filesrv01
  • filesrv02
  • filesrv-app
  • finsrv44
  • homesrv01
  • if-nas-0

  • tdfiler

WHAT DO YOU NEED TO DO?

  • Avoid opening files on the file servers listed above during the maintenance window.
  • If possible, Windows and Mac users should log off their computers when leaving work on Tuesday, April 19.
  • Windows and Mac users who experience issues with file services after 5:30 a.m. on Wednesday, April 20 should reboot their computers.
  • UNIX/Linux system administrators, please check your NFS mounts after the maintenance window and perform re-mounts if needed.
