Fermilab Today emails now use preferred names in greetings

Employees subscribed to Fermilab Today may notice a change in their email greeting this week. To make the daily newsletter more inclusive, the email system now uses the preferred name supplied in FermiWorks rather than the subscriber’s legal name. All new employees will be automatically addressed with their preferred name. Current subscribers’ names have also been updated.

If you are still not being greeted with your preferred name in your Fermilab Today emails, please contact news@fnal.gov for a manual fix. Individuals can also review and edit their preferred name in FermiWorks by navigating to “Personal Information” and selecting “Preferred Name” in the “Change” column, as pictured.
