WHAT ARE WE DOING?
Computing will be upgrading the production FIFEMON/Landscape Grafana dashboards to version 8.5. This is a major upgrade and will require a short downtime. We anticipate there may be some dashboard incompatibilities with the new version, which we will work to resolve quickly by upgrading affected dashboards. We will also be changing the default time zone to US Central Time, rather than using the user’s local time zone as detected by the browser. Users may override this setting in their personal preferences at https://landscape.fnal.gov/monitor/profile.
WHEN WILL THIS OCCUR?
Wednesday, Aug. 31; between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. Central Time
WHAT IS THE IMPACT TO YOU?
- Users will not be able to access any dashboards at fifemon.fnal.gov and landscape.fnal.gov during the downtime for service upgrade.
- After the service upgrade is complete, you might encounter errors when accessing certain individual dashboards while they are being upgraded.
- After the dashboard upgrade is complete, all dashboards will display time in US Central Time (CDT or CST depending on the day of the year). Additionally, “CDT” or “CST” will be added to the time picker area in the upper right corner.
WHAT DO YOU NEED TO DO?
If you have any questions or encounter any issues after the upgrade, submit a Service Desk ticket to be routed to Distributed Computing Support.
