Inclusion Matters 2022: Latinas in STEM

On Oct. 5 at 1 p.m., the Office of Equity, Diversity and Inclusion will help honor National Hispanic Heritage Month by showcasing the Latinas in STEM Foundation.  Michelle L. Mejia, Latinas in STEM representative, will introduce the foundation and give a presentation on “How we can work together to build a more inclusive STEM future.”

The talk will last about 35 minutes, followed by Q&A.

Michelle Mejia is a Research Scientist in the Analytical Sciences department at Dow where she is the lead for global X-ray Scattering technology team and serves as the lead for the global Beamline Sciences team. Michelle received her undergraduate degree from Rice University and her PhD in Chemistry from The University of Texas at Austin. Michelle is a board member for the Latinas in STEM Foundation, where she leads the Social Media Team.
