Dear Self Service Property (SSP) users,
WHAT ARE WE DOING?
The Property Department, in collaboration with the Information Technology Division, has implemented a new self-service system that allows custodians to promptly report lost or stolen Fermilab tagged assets. This system will also allow us to try to assist custodians to locate a missing asset before we officially report the loss to the Department of Energy.
WHAT IS THE IMPACT TO YOU?
- As a custodian of Fermilab-owned property, you now have an easy way to promptly report lost or stolen assets via this new self-service application.
- The Security Department will continue to take reports for general property loss (such as keys, badges, untagged assets, etc.) as well as tagged assets that are being reported lost/stolen on behalf of someone else.
WHAT DO YOU NEED TO DO?
- Familiarize yourself with the instructions in the document titled “How to Report a Lost/Stolen Asset” in the “Lost Property” section of this page: https://fermiproperty.fnal.gov/quick-reference-guides/
- In the event an asset, for which you are the custodian, is lost or stolen, promptly report the missing asset by going to https://fermiproperty.fnal.gov, logging into Self Service Property and following the instructions mentioned above.
