Martha Michels, the interim director of contractor assurance at Fermilab, will permanently fill the role. Jemila Adetunji has been named deputy director of contractor assurance and will report to Martha. Jemila will also continue in her current role as head of the lab’s quality assurance department.
The contractor assurance effort includes management of the Contractor Assurance System (CAS) to support the lab’s efforts to deliver its mission. This includes oversight of all elements of CAS, specifically enterprise risk management issues, management assessments, quality metrics, lessons learned, event response and continuous improvement. The contractor assurance team also works with legal counsel to manage and maintain the requirements in the DOE/FRA prime contract and has an oversight role of the laboratory’s completion of prime contract deliverables.
