Reminder: All PIER Plans that are written for funding opportunities need to be approved by the EDIA Office, with a first draft being submitted through the PIER Plan website at least three weeks in advance of the proposal due date. There is typically at least one round of edits that needs to be completed before a plan is approved.
Promoting Inclusive Equitable Research, or PIER, Plans are a new requirement for funding proposals submitted to the Office of Science, effective Jan. 1, 2023. The Office of Equity, Diversity, Inclusion and Accessibility has a PIER Plan website with guidance and resources for laboratory staff developing funding proposals (Services log-in required).
