High-energy physicist Roy Schwitters, one of the founding fathers of the CDF experiment at Fermilab, passed away on Jan. 10 from cancer. He was 78. Roy was a professor at Harvard University and Stanford University and served as associate head of the CDF department at Fermilab before joining the faculty of University of Texas at Austin in 1990.
