This Fermilab LRG initiative promotes all work-life integration initiatives at Fermilab. In 2021, it designed and launched the Fermilab Buddy Program, which welcomes new employees, enhancing the onboarding experience and aiming to increase their sense of belonging to the Fermilab community.
From March 25-27, the Fermilab professional chapter of the Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers will host the virtual Regional Leadership Development Conference. This is a great professional development and networking opportunity for Fermilab employees and users. The conference agenda includes career, leadership and professional-development workshops. Early bird registration is open until Feb. 23.
As the new president of the Fermilab Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers, I take this opportunity to introduce myself and the group’s new officers to the lab community.
The Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers was founded in 1974 for professional engineers to serve as role models in the Hispanic community. Our Fermilab chapter aims to increase representation of Hispanics at the lab and create an inclusive space where we celebrate our roots and share all our wonderful traditions and diverse culture.
