On Dec. 21, Fermilab Fire Department provided mutual-aid assistance to Argonne Fire Department for a structure fire at the Visitors Center. Fermilab provided Argonne National Laboratory with a fire engine and a fire chief. This is a historic first for both laboratories. Fermilab fire station was promptly backfilled with daytime staff and off-shift fire department members for the duration of the incident.
