On Aug. 27, 11 Fermilab innovators completed the second cohort of the Entrepreneurship and Commercialization Practicum, sponsored by the Office of Partnerships and Technology Transfer. The practicum is designed as a lighter version of DOE’s Energy I-Corps. Like Energy I-Corps, the practicum gives researchers the framework for industry engagement and market awareness. This summer, the entire series was conducted virtually over the course of eight weeks.
Learn about the key activities that take place before, during and after proposal writing. “Basics of Proposal Preparation,” presented by New Program Capture Manager David McCallum of Argonne, takes place at Argonne on Friday, Oct. 18, from 2 to 3 p.m. It will be structured as a presentation followed by a Q&A session.
Recently, 17 Fermilab innovators graduated from the first Entrepreneurship and Commercialization Practicum, sponsored by the Office of Partnerships and Technology Transfer. The six-week practicum gave participants a better understanding of the potential path to commercialization for a new technology, bridging the gap between innovation and societal impact.
