Aloke Das is a Ph.D. student at the National Institute of Science Education and Research in India, currently visiting Fermilab and working under Leonard Spiegel with the outer tracker module system test in the detector test area at SiDet. Aloke will be leaving Fermilab at the end of November, and this morning he woke up to a nice surprise: snow!! He said that this was the first time ever in his life to witness snow fall. He was happy to be able to see it and touch it. I figured he needs the winter experience, so the photographer threw a snowball at him!

There are beautiful prairie and wildflowers that are all around us here at Fermilab. The photographer spied these on C Road opposite SiDet.
Mr. and Mrs. Sandhill Crane visited the SiDet parking lot one August morning and brought Junior along. Surprisingly, they did not visit the Bubble Chamber. They did, however, look around for a tasty snack.
