Today we are introducing a new standalone Code of Business Ethics and Conduct (Code) (must be on the Fermilab network to view), with the full support of the lab director and the FRA board of directors. The Code provides an overview of the contractual, legal and regulatory requirements governing ethics and conduct for FRA as an organization and for each employee. WDRS has updated the policy on sponsoring foreign nationals employees for US immigration benefits, which now addresses the requirement to exhaust both J-1 and F-1 temporary statuses before changing to H-1B. It also provides an option of cost analysis in cases where a family-based green card process may replace the employment-based process. Any deviations from the policy, such as an early change to H-1B status, must be approved and initiated by the division head accompanied by a lab business-need explanation….

Zoom yoga class

Over these past months, Fermilab has seen an unprecedented amount of its workforce telecommuting from home. Adapting to a non-traditional computer workstation has proven to be challenging on our bodies, as well as our efficiency to focus on tasks. As we develop new work routines, some may find themselves introducing poor ergonomic habits while telecommuting from the kitchen table or the couch. ICW main site flushing

  The FESS/FM Mechanical group will be performing the annual ICW flush, for main site, starting Monday, Sep. 28 thru Friday, Oct. 2 during the hours of 8 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. daily (weather dependent). The work being performed will start at Casey’s Pump House and continue to the far reaches of main site i.e. D0 & MI40. This process is performed in a systematic fashion to flush approximately twenty seven miles of underground piping in accordance with FESHM standards….

WHAT ARE WE DOING? FESS will be performing its annual CUB maintenance Sept. 19 and 20. Wilson Hall will not have cooling during the maintenance period. This cooling outage will be accompanied by a one–hour power outage Saturday afternoon, Sept. 19.     WHEN WILL THIS OCCUR?
