Title: Majorana or Dirac, That is the Question
I will discuss one of the most important questions in contemporary fundamental particle physics: are neutrinos Majorana fermions or Dirac fermions? In more detail, I will review what are Majorana and Dirac fermions and why we don’t know the answer when it comes to the neutrinos. Searches for the violation of lepton number are likely to provide invaluable information in the near future. I will review some of the most promising ones, including searches for neutrinoless double-beta decay.
